L&I interprets the new “Pay Transparency” law broadly with nuances
Effective January 1, 2023, employers with 15 or more employees must include salary range and benefits information in all job postings. L&I’s broad interpretation of this new law makes non-Washington-based employers subject to this requirement if there is a remote chance a Washington resident might apply for the position. Employers must also be aware of other unexpected nuances in this law.
To help assure our members’ compliance with the new transparency requirements and navigate L&I’s broad interpretation of the law, we have partnered with Lane Powell’s employment law attorneys to present a free webinar on February 23 (Thursday) at 11:00 AM PST.
