COVID workplace safety is retail workers’ top concern
Retail workers showed the most concern among six industries regarding exposure to others infected by COVID-19, a new LinkedIn survey of 10,163 professionals in June found.
The industries surveyed in the Workplace Confidence report included entertainment, education, recreation and travel, construction and manufacturing. The vast majority of retail workers were most worried about customers not taking safety protocols seriously enough.
To address this issue, Washington Retail created the Retail Re-opening Resources Page to guide employers and workers to reopen from the pandemic as safely as possible. We also are members of the Stay Safe Washington movement to encourage all retail patrons to wear facial coverings in stores to help prevent the spread of the virus.
