Join us in developing a new safety app

Washington Retail is seeking volunteers to help us test and develop a free smartphone app to reduce on-the-job injuries that result from lifting. Overexertion is the highest frequency and costly of workers’ compensation claims.

We’re working in cooperation with the University of Washington to develop an app to reduce ergonomic risks, reduce workplace injuries and lower workers’ compensation costs and lost time on the job. The university will collect feedback from users to make improvements to the app.

If you’re interested in participating, especially if lifting is an important part of your job, contact Rick Means, WR’s Director of Safety and Education, at 360-200-6454 or rmeans@waretailservices.com.
