Stay-at-Work program passes a key milestone

We are happy to announce that we have recovered more than $500,000 in “Stay-at-Work” reimbursements for our members. The program offers participants a reimbursement on wages paid to a worker during light-duty or transitional work following an injury.

“Stay-at-Work” is a financial incentive program offered by the Department of Labor & Industries to encourage employers to bring back their injured workers quickly with a doctor’s approval.

Our claims management team administers this program for our members at no additional cost.

  • We provide members with a notification each time a worker is released for light/modified duty
  • We gather wage information and timesheets along with any other pertinent information in order to complete the application
  • We track your claims reimbursements
  • We provide a monthly or quarterly report
  • We send the check to you

Use of this reimbursement does not affect your experience rating. It benefits you in two ways by reducing claim costs and lowering your premiums. It’s a win/win all the way around.

It’s one of the many reasons to enroll in the Group Retrospective (RETRO) Rating Program. To learn more, contact me at thopsecger@waretailservices.com.
