U.S. Chamber links employers with help for prescription drug misuse

A new survey found that more than half of U.S. employers have been negatively affected by the nation’s opioid epidemic, according to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Further, small businesses in particular often lack the resources to help an employee who is struggling with drug addiction.
So, the U.S. Chamber’s Foundation has launched SharingSolutions.us, a website that connects employers and employees with tools they need to address drug misuse and possibly save lives.
In 2017, the chamber reports, more than 47,000 Americans died of opioid overdoses. SharingSolutons could save a small business time in working with health care providers and resources to accomplish a drug-free workplace. Whether your business needs it or not or you know someone struggling with addiction, check it out.
